The first-ever Keepsake Ornament Collector's Club National Convention.
Commemorated the five year anniversary of The Keepsake Ornament Collector's Club.

     Mail in only (Registration fees had to be included with
     registration form.)

     Event Fee

     Early Registration:
$235.00 per KOCC member*
     (must be postmarked by December 10, 1990)

      After December 10, 1990: $265.00 per KOCC member*

     Fee included meals (except Friday night), tours, materials and
     admission to all seminars and workshops plus many, many
     surprises and extras! It did not include hotel accommodations

     *Event was limited to KOCC members only.

    - Guided tour of the Hallmark facility where Keepsake Ornaments are produced and distributed.

    Decorated Homes Tour

  • COSTUME CONTEST - More than 200 members turned out in dazzling costumes inspired by their favorite ornaments.

    Winners:

    - Grand Prize (for best costume overall): Joanne Pawelek* of
      Edmonton, Canada - 1977 "Jack-in-the-Box"

    - 1st place Keepsake category: Florence Brod of Stockton, 
      CA - 1989 "Cactus Cowboy"

    - 1st place Keepsake Magic category: Charlie Bradley of
      Bloomington, MN – 1990 "Song and Dance"

    - 1st place Keepsake Miniature category: Christopher
      Marriott of South Pasadena, CA - 1990 "Crown Prince"
        


    *NOTE: As her prize Joanne was flown back to
    Kansas City to meet with Keepsake Artist, Donna
    Lee and the Keepsake Ornament staff
    to collaborate
    on a Keepsake Ornament
    based on her favorite
    Christmas memories.
    The ornament that came out
    of this collaboration was "Look for the Wonder"
    (QX5685), an Advent calendar (released in 1993)
    that reflects the Ukrainian holiday traditions passed
    down to Joanne by her grandmother.
