AGENDA
(OVERVIEW OF ACTIVITIES)

  • SEMINARS

    A Sneak Behind the Curtain
    - a few members of the Keepsake staff provided a special Sneak Peek. The presentation included NEW upcoming news for 2013 and early hints about their 2014 offerings.

    Victorian Doll House Seminar
    - A behind the scenes look
at this unique piece, which was designed to showcase the talent of the entire Keepsakes Studio. In addition to sharing the stories behind the artists’ inspirations and contributions to this charming and highly detailed piece, Hallmark talked about the Nostalgic Houses and Shops series, and shared how the full-size Doll House, inspired by this piece, was created. Don’t miss this great opportunity for an inside glimpse into Hallmark's creative world.

    Creating Christmas Together
    - Keepsake Artists, Diana McGehee and Lisa Vogel, took attendees on a journey of inspiration as they shared with them many ways to bring unique Christmas trees to life for their family, friends and community. These Christmas trees, perfect for displaying Keepsake Ornaments, were inspired by the desire to help you create an extra special Christmas with or for those you cherish at home, in your ornament club, and community. Crafted from items you can easily access, individuals left with a list of new projects and wanting to get started on their Christmas planning right away. There’s another surprise element to this seminar, but Hallmark is keeping the secret until the event!

40 Years of Stories - This year’s event wouldn’t have be complete without a celebration of the memories that have connected Hallmark and collectors throughout the years. At their leisure, attendees could enjoy this short video on some of Hallmark's fondest memories from the past forty years.

  • ARTIST SIGNINGS

Keepsake Studio - Attendees could meet the Keepsake Studio Artists and have then sign some of their favorite Keepsake Ornaments.

Each Attendee received a signing ticket (for seven different artist signatures) for each day of the event.

    NOTE: T
he KOC did their best to give event attendees as much flexibility as possible to build their own event, as such during registration* most individuals were able to choose:

Additionally the museum offered a discounted admission rate of $5 for convention attendees through Sunday, August 7. Hours of operation on Friday and Saturday were: 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., and Sunday from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m."

  • ARTIST SEMINARS

    A Sneak Behind the Curtain
    - a few members of the Keepsake staff provided a special Sneak Peek about Hallmark's 2012 offering! Including the 2011 Mystery Ornaments, the Mary's Angels 25th Anniversary piece, a 1st in series ornament.

    - A behind the scenes look into how Mrs. Claus Cupboard (the event piece) was concepted and then produced in the three different sizes. At the end of each seminar a 24" handcrafted event exclusive scaled model of the Cupboard was awarded to one lucky seminar attendee.

    Ken Crow
    - In this nostalgic and creative seminar Ken shared his experiences with Disney animators, the Muppets workshop, visits to Mattel, experiences with Warner Bros., working with Hannah-Barbera and Hasbro, and especially working in Santa's workshop (the Keepsakes studio) for almost 30 years.

    Decorating Ideas with Eileen Bickerstaff
